What Is a Full Perimeter Plastic Pallet?

Definition and Base Geometry
A full perimeter plastic pallet has a connected bottom frame around all four outer sides, normally with two internal cross-runners. This 6-runner underside is also called a picture-frame base, frame base, perimeter base, cruciform base, Hui base or cross-bottom pallet.
Compared with a 3-runner pallet, the connected base gives your unit load broader contact during loaded floor stacking and repeated forklift movement.
Available Sizes and Product Weight
We offer fixed footprints from 1100 × 830 mm to 1400 × 1400 mm for cartons, crates, beverage cases, drums, bags and industrial components.
Deck area ranges from 0.913 to 1.96 m², while published plastic-body weights range from 10 to 23.2 kg.
Forklift Entry and Construction Options
Featured models provide 4-way forklift access—twice the approach directions of a 2-way pallet.
You can choose one-piece molded, welded, modular or related reversible double-sided structures, with open or solid decks and model-specific steel reinforcement.
Rack Use Is Model-Specific
“Full perimeter” describes the bottom-base geometry; it does not mean every model is rackable.
If you require rack storage, you may choose to add our steel reinforcement bars, which are placed inside the pallets.

Floor and Block Stacking
The 6-runner picture-frame base provides twice the principal runner lines of a 3-runner base. Selected models carry up to 6,000 kg on a flat, rigid floor.
Beam Racks, AS/RS and Conveyors
Selected reinforced pallets publish 1,000–1,500 kg rack capacity. Specified automation builds can be controlled to ±2 mm for guides, sensors and repeat pickup.
Food and Cold Storage
Open decks aid drainage; solid decks support small packages continuously. Selected virgin-material models span -40°C to 70°C.
