What Makes a Plastic Pallet Rackable?
A rackable plastic pallet is designed to carry a specified unit load while spanning defined rack beams or support rails. Unlike floor-supported static loading, part of the pallet remains over an unsupported span, so bending stiffness and allowable deflection become critical.
Rackable plastic pallets are also searched as racking plastic pallets, plastic pallets for racking and warehouse racking plastic pallets. The term does not describe one fixed strength level: rack performance depends on base structure, beam spacing, orientation, load distribution, reinforcement, temperature and storage duration.
A pallet can be strong enough not to break and still bend too far to function safely in a beam rack, conveyor or high-bay automated system. For this reason, rack load must be evaluated separately from static and dynamic capacity.
Never Compare Rack Load Without the Support Condition
Ask for the clear beam span, support direction, pallet orientation, unit-load contact pattern, temperature, storage duration and allowable deflection. A single rack-load number without these conditions is incomplete.

3-Runner, Full-Perimeter and Double-Sided Bases
These market terms describe different load paths. Actual geometry and support points must be confirmed on the selected model.
3-Runner / 3-Skid Pallets
Three longitudinal runners create continuous support paths for compatible selective beam racks, conveyors and forklifts. Runner direction must match the rack support.
Full-Perimeter / Picture-Frame Pallets
A connected perimeter or 6-runner base provides broad bottom contact. Pallet-jack and rack compatibility must be checked because support rails and wheel paths vary.
Double-Sided Pallets
