What Makes a Plastic Pallet Rackable?

A rackable plastic pallet is designed to carry a specified unit load while spanning defined rack beams or support rails. Unlike floor-supported static loading, part of the pallet remains over an unsupported span, so bending stiffness and allowable deflection become critical.

Rackable plastic pallets are also searched as racking plastic pallets, plastic pallets for racking and warehouse racking plastic pallets. The term does not describe one fixed strength level: rack performance depends on base structure, beam spacing, orientation, load distribution, reinforcement, temperature and storage duration.

A pallet can be strong enough not to break and still bend too far to function safely in a beam rack, conveyor or high-bay automated system. For this reason, rack load must be evaluated separately from static and dynamic capacity.

Never Compare Rack Load Without the Support Condition

Ask for the clear beam span, support direction, pallet orientation, unit-load contact pattern, temperature, storage duration and allowable deflection. A single rack-load number without these conditions is incomplete.

These market terms describe different load paths. Actual geometry and support points must be confirmed on the selected model.

3-Runner / 3-Skid Pallets

Container quantity depends on pallet footprint, pallet height, base structure and empty stacking arrangement. Send the selected model and destination for 20GP or 40HQ loading quantity and freight allocation.

A lower FOB price can still create a higher landed cost if the pallet loads inefficiently in the container.

Do steel bars increase rack capacity?
Steel reinforcement can increase bending stiffness and help reduce deflection under a defined rack condition. The benefit depends on the number, direction and position of the steel tubes.
Why do plastic pallets sag in racks?
Plastic bends under load and can continue to deform gradually during sustained storage due to creep. Load, span, temperature, duration and material formulation all contribute.
How much deflection is acceptable?
The acceptable deflection depends on the rack safety requirement and the operating tolerance of conveyors, AGVs or AS/RS equipment. It should be defined before testing.
Can rackable plastic pallets also be stacked?
Selected rackable pallets can also support compatible loaded floor stacking, but rackability and stackability should be confirmed separately.
Can rackable pallets work with hand pallet trucks?

Selected models can be evaluated for automated systems. Runner contact, fork openings, dimensional tolerance, flatness, sensor interface and loaded deflection must match the equipment drawing.
What rackable plastic pallet sizes are available?
The supplied standard product data includes 1200 × 800, 1200 × 1000, 1200 × 1100, 1200 × 1200 and 1250 × 1000 mm models, plus custom dimensions.
Do you offer 48 × 40 rackable plastic pallets?
For 48 × 40 or GMA-size North American projects, send the rack, load and equipment details. We will check existing molds or evaluate a custom option rather than treating 1200 × 1000 mm as the same size.
Are solid-top rackable plastic pallets available?
Solid, closed and flat-top designs can be evaluated across the broader product range or through customization. Product support, cleanability and rack performance must be confirmed for the selected model.
Should I choose HDPE or PP?
HDPE is commonly considered for impact and moisture exposure, while PP generally provides greater stiffness. The supplied 1250 × 1000 model is identified as PP. Final selection depends on temperature, load, structure and reinforcement.
Can rackable plastic pallets be used in cold storage?
They can be evaluated for cold storage, but material impact, stiffness, rack load and long-term performance must be confirmed at the actual operating temperature.
Can I test a sample before bulk production?
Available standard samples are normally dispatched within one week so the pallet can be checked against the rack and handling route before a larger order.

The typical MOQ for standard plastic pallets is 300 pieces. MOQ may vary for stock, material, color, logo or custom development.

Yes. We first check more than 600 existing models. New tooling can be evaluated when no standard footprint, runner layout, rack span or automation interface fits the project.
